Jean-Baptiste Le Prince
1734 - 1781

Jean-Baptiste Le Prince was a French painter and engraver. in 1750, he began studying in Paris under François Boucher. In 1758 he travelled extensively throughout Russia, Finland and Lithuania. the art he created from that journey considered to be a more accurate representation of the people, styles and clothing than was being produced by his contemporaries at that time.
